We are well located for bus routes in and out of Oxford and London.

The reliable Oxford Tube service runs to London via Lewknor every 10-20 mins 24/7. The nearest stop is Speedwell street about a 10 minute walk away.

Oxford Train Station is only a half an hour walk or a short bus ride away.

Gloucester Green Bus Station is a 25 minute walk or short bus ride and has regular national express and mega buses going all over the country.

We really enjoy having teens on our courses and welcome students of secondary school age as long as they are accompanied by a participating parent or guardian. We've had kids as young as 12 join us on our Workshop Experience Days and our Woodwork Weekenders and they've loved it!

You are very welcome to come along with no experience at all, we get plenty of people joining us without ever having picked up a tool in their life! We have a maximum of 5 students per course with 2 of us tutoring, this means we are able to offer plenty of one-to-one tuition allowing us to adapt to students of all abilities.

We get a lot of students staying over for the duration of our courses.

Our location near the centre of Oxford makes it a nice area to stay where you can easily go for a wander and do some sightseeing in the evening.

Alternatively some of our students choose to stay in small towns outside Oxford with cheaper accommodation (Abingdon is a popular option) and take a bus or short drive in the morning.

If staying in Oxford itself we recommend staying within a distance you are comfortable walking as driving within the city can be very slow especially during weekdays.

We've had students of all ages from 12 - 87 and often have a complete mix within a single course! We love the fact our students attract such a mix of ages and genders.

All of our courses follow a set project and structure. This allows us to provide quality and fairly divided tuition to our students with the appropriate tools and space. All our courses focus a different technique and the likelihood is one of them will teach you everything you need to complete the project you have in mind at home. Absolutely (its 2024 btw!). We email attendees to collect all dietary requirements and preferences beforehand. Generally lunch includes a range of sandwiches and "picnicy" buffet including foods like falafels, humous, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, salad etc. We mix it up a bit depending on the groups requirements.
